There are actual Black people that live their entire lives and don’t say the n-word. Why do non-Black people feel like they, of all people, “need” to lmao? Just to hurt Black people, it is so obvious. They’d rather argue about why they should be able to for 10 years than take 10 seconds to have a heart and realize that it’s not theirs and it hurts when they use it. You are honestly worthless to me if you’re not Black and you use it like.. that’s that, get through it.
what do u think about non black people saying the n word when singing the lyrics to songs with the word in it?
if you’re not Black it’s not your word to use ever like have you not seen the post “can i say it in a house, can i say it on a mouse” like no you can’t say it ever, there is no hypothetical situation that you need to just like there is no hypothetical situation that i need to “reclaim” anti-semitic jokes that aren’t mine and say them or anti-Asian (homogenizing) slurs. why is that difficult??? why would you want to say it in a song or otherwise? skip over it
Thanks to The Cosby Show, Fat Albert and standup, Bill Cosby has become one of today’s most beloved public figures. Of course, mixed up in his celebrated entertainment career are over a dozen instances where Cosby allegedly drugged and raped various women — but that’s the part that most people would rather not talk about. Too bad for them, though, because Hannibal Buress is talking about it anyway.
Mixed-race fetishization is an issue that needs way more awareness as it is extremely harmful to all POC. Because there are people who date interracially just so that they can have “pretty mixed babies”. So not only do they fetishize monoracial POC, but they also objectify and sexualize their own offspring and if you don’t think that’s fucked up then I don’t know what to tell you.
The worst of all possible things that could happen would be to lose that language [that black people love so much]. There are certain things I cannot say without recourse to my language. It’s terrible to think that a child with five different present tenses comes to school to be faced with those books that are less than his own language. And then to be told things about his language, which is him, that are sometimes permanently damaging… This is a really cruel fallout of racism. I know the Standard English. I want to use it to help restore the other language, the lingua franca.
1. He ø runnin. Standard American English (SAE )= He is running.
2. He be runnin. SAE = He is usually running or He will/would be running.
3. He be steady runnin. SAE = He is usually running in an intensive, sustained manner, or He will/would be running in an intensive, sustained manner.
4. He(’s) been/bin runnin. SAE He has been running–at some earlier point, but probably not now.
Other examples: I been knowing her. SAE = I have known her.
About eleven o’clock he been eating. SAE = … he was eating.
5. He BEEN/BIN runnin’. SAE = He has been running for a long time, and still is.
-This is a use of the African American English (AAE) stressed been/remote BIN.
